Duchess Designs Shop

I am motivated and inspired by the extraordinary, inspirational women I have the honor to host each month on my Ladies Who Lunch Conversations (LWLC) videocast on Facebook.

So not a surprise that I got the idea to further that gratitude in a special way and to share the bliss with you.
I'm creating a Collection that will artfully and fashionably support and benefit the Ladies' good causes.

I am so excited to design a watercolor of their favorite cocktail as a tribute to each woman's savvy, grit, fortitude, and style.
As the author of The Art of the Garnish it’s only natural :) that I highlight each lady’s best-loved drink to toast their enduring success!
(With humility, I send the framed giclĂ©e print to the guest as an added thank-you gift.)

Most importantly, a percentage of the cocktail napkin sales go to the lady’s preferred cause or charity.
A win/win!

I hope that these custom, pretty water color designs will keep the inspiring, Ladies Who Lunch Conversations flowing when you gather with friends and family.
Posh up your Happy Hour conversations when you raise a glass to the lady’s life journey and her dedicated cause!

The napkins are for sale in a set of 12. The napkins are white, 2-ply, 5 x 5" and will come lovingly wrapped with ribbons in an organza gift bag, for $15.00. (plus postage)

And as a tablescape artist, I hope the napkins will add an artful, bespoke elegance, charm, and whimsy to your table decor, bar cart, and barscape. The custom cocktail napkins also make a glamorous host or hostess gift.

First in the Collection

#1. The Artful Cocktail Napkin series premieres with "Megan’s Manhattan" ~ inspired by Megan Fairchild, principal ballerina at New York City Ballet and the Sugar Plum Fairy, Broadway star in On The Town, podcaster, author of The Ballerina Mindset, mother of three, including a pair of twins!  She has a degree in mathematics and economics from Fordham and is studying for her M.B.A from NYU.
Megan was a very special Holiday guest on Ladies Who Lunch Conversations.
Megan’s favored charity is Everytown For Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in America.
A percentage of the sales will be donated to the organization in her name.

The beverage napkin design is the classic Manhattan cocktail, fronting the skyline of Manhattan ~ all glittery and enchanting. And home to New York City Ballet...
I rendered the Artful Garnish as two toe shoes with ribbons, poised in the glass sort of pirouetting on the cherries in the glass. Sweet.

A New Addition to the Collection

#2. It was a Pretty in Pink kick-off to the Ladies Who Lunch Conversations with the irrepressible Toni Sabatino.
Check out our Conversation on the LWLC Facebook page or here on YouTube ~ you'll be tickled pink by our frothy pink Tablescapes, flowers, and Toni's enchanting Fancier!
Toni is an award-winning interior designer. Her website notes she is proud to have been the NKBA Manhattan Chapter President from 2018-2021, a member of the K&BB Editorial Advisory Board, designer of the Retro Collection for Baden Haus Spa., a member of several industry design councils and is CLIPP certified. She is also an award-winning member of the Interior Design Society and she’s on the Sustainable Furnishings Council. This is one super-successful woman! She is also a very dedicated mother and a doting grandmother. She is so much fun too.  We have lots of stories from The Hamptons to the Galapagos and all things glamorous in between.

Toni's favored charity is HousePlus, the largest provider of permanent supportive housing for female veterans in New York City, who often face myriad challenges to life stability. In 2011, they launchd the first housing program exclusively serving female veterans; while providing stability and self-sufficiency, including career building and educational support services.
A percentage of the sales will be donated to the organization in her name.

I painted Toni's special French 75 with lots of pink to capture the frisson of our pink Tablescapes and flowers and gold glitter (can't have too much glitter) ~ our Conversation was themed around Valentine's Day ~ and to highlight that I created the drink with an Artful Garnish of Rose Petals and the lemon twist.
You can see the flowers, the lemons and because I wear my heart on my sleeve and I love this drink and Toni so much, I painted some of the rose petals as hearts...

(Fun Sparkler ~ Can you find the Hirschfield-like LWLC name-tag in the watercolor paintings on the beverage napkin design?!)

It would mean the world to us if you would subscribe to Ladies Who Lunch Conversations on Facebook.
Then, you will also be able to view all the fascinating, successful women I've had the privilege to talk to, getting  an intimate peek inside these inspiring role models and their life's journey ~ to share with you.

Cheers!
